Dieser Ort ist gleich aus zwei Gründen eine vortreffliche Wahl: / This location is for two reasons a perfect choice:
Zum einen mahnt der Ort Obama – noch Friedensnobelpreisträger – an seine Verantwortung für die “Verbrüderung der Völker” (for fraternity between the nations, aus dem Testament Alfred Nobels), wozu völkerrechtswidrige Drohnen-Angriffe, Guantanomo (ebenfalls völkerrechtswidrig) und das heimliche Ausschnüffeln von Privatpersonen sicherlich nicht zählen. / On the one hand this location may remind Obama – still prize laureate – of his responsibility “for fraternity between nations” (Alfred Nobel´s Will), which is definitely not supported by attacks of unmanned aerial vehicles which are contrary to international law, Guantánamo, which is contrary to international law, too, and by spying personal private data.
Zum anderen wird Norwegen Snowden wohl nicht an die USA ausliefern. Zwar haben Norwegen und die USA ein Auslieferungsabkommen, aber: Artikel 7 des Auslieferungsabkommens sieht ausdrücklich die Ausnahme bei dem Verdacht vor, dass das Auslieferungsanliegen politisch motiviert sein könnte. / On the other hand, Norway will probably not extradite Snowden to the US. Though there is a bilateral extradition treaty between Norway and the US, it contains in Article 7 “a political offense exception clause which prohibits extradition where the offense for which extradition is sought is regarded by the requested State as a political offense or where the person sought can prove that the request for extradition has in fact been made with a view towards trying or punishing that person for an offense of a political character.”
